Nueva Vista student Climate Project

Page history last edited by pauline Seales 6 years, 7 months ago

We worked with the middle school students in the Nueva Vista after school program Oct/Nov 2015

The students learned about Climate Change and the threats of sea level rise through guided internet research.

They then investigated solutions and made art projects to illustrate them.

The art was done on cloth panels using fabric crayons and permanent markers. The panels were sewn into a quilt, which is on display in the Community Center.

Three 45 min activities used to start the quilt project  (students really needed longer on the basics but this was all the time we had!)

     Week 1,   Week 2,  Week 3

The educators were Roland Saher and Pauline Seales, who greatly appreciated the support of center director Edgar Landeros
